BocaWatch….first and foremost a Voice of and for the People….
At the January Federation of Boca Raton Homeowner Associations meeting, I explained that BocaWatch Political Action Committee was created as an issue only PAC pursuant to Florida Statute 106.03. This statement was true then and remains true now.
However, the website, www.BocaWatch.org , is separate and distinct from the political action committee. The website is designed to inform and educate citizens as to activities within relevant government agencies that will and do have direct and profound impacts on the quality of life experienced with living in the City of Boca Raton.
The BocaWatch Political Action Committee remains in place for the sole purpose of mounting support for or opposition to issues that are reasonably thought to become the subject of a referendum vote of the citizens. At this time, no such referendum is anticipated.
BocaWatch Political Action committee will remain active and in good standing with the State of Florida, Division of Elections and will be readily available on a moment’s notice if and when there is an issue that may reasonably result in a referendum vote of the citizens.
