Boca Del Mar Registered Voters: In June 2014 The Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners voted 5 to 2 to approve amending the Boca Del Mar Master Plan so that Compson Development could build on the Mizner Trail Golf Course, against the overwhelming opposition of the community. (Remember-to end the uncertainty)
Commissioner Shelley Vana one of the five Commissioners who voted to APPROVE building on Mizner Trail Is Now Running for County Property Appraiser: Commissioner Vana, who is term limited off the Commission, is running in the Democratic primary, Tuesday August 30th against Dorothy Jacks who is currently the assistant Property Appraiser. (check your sample ballots)
Primary elections historically have significantly lower turnouts then general elections, so your vote, and this communities turnout can have a significant impact on the result.
One of the realties that residents were frustrated by during the Mizner Trail issue was they couldn’t affect the outcome of Commissioner’s elections outside their district, so elected representatives who made decisions that affected our community were insulated from accountability. Since Comm. Vana is now running for a County wide seat, now you can.
ON TUESDAY AUGUST 30TH IF YOUR AN ELIGIBLE VOTER – VOTE IN THE PRIMARY AND CAST YOUR VOTE FOR DOROTHY JACKS FOR PALM BEACH COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER.
AND LET THE COUNTY KNOW – WE MATTER & WE REMEMBER MIZNER TRAIL
