    Yes, poor decisions can be like beach erosion – in this case it’s the resident’s quality of life that erodes as a result. As with the beach, poor planning, ‘putting the cart before the horse’, no sense variances, a poorly written Zoning Code, etc., all contribute to this slow erosion. All of a sudden it appears the beach has almost entirely disappeared…just as the ‘quality of life’ has. Let’s measure twice and cut once – we don’t need to drive very far to see the results of poor planning and unbridled growth (overdevelopment).
