After a 5–0 City Council consensus….the Beach and Park district will proceed forward to an eventually acquisition and preservation of a 200 acre green space!

I can not believe it’s been over a year trying to convince the city to join hands with the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District, who from the beginning have seen the advantage of saving over 200 acres of green space for the future along with re-erecting the once championship Ocean Breeze Golf Course to its former status . This has been a vision for many of the residents for a long time to bring a world renown golf course to the great City of Boca Raton to allow residents, college students, who have no place to play, and the youth being deprived of some place close to home to play the game they love. It will be a jewel for the city to add to their collection and will bring many new people into the city who then will realize what we have to offer. The only thing is to look up and to the future of our city, a true city within a park . Thanks to all the residents, the City Council, and the GBRBPD, who made this possible, especially Mayor Haynie, Robert Rollins, and Art Koski, who had the vision and were on board from the beginning.
