Established in 1953, The Boca Raton Garden Club’s mission was to improve and beautify the city’s parks and landscape as well as share members’ knowledge and passion for gardening. The club proudly carries on its founder’s legacy with a 70-year-old history of supporting the Boca community with scholarships and junior gardening programs for local students, Garden Therapy for senior citizens at FAU’s Memory and Wellness Center, Boca’s Helping Hand, as well as Boy Scout Merit Badge projects.
Funds from Club events are also used to send students and counselors from Boca schools to Camp Wekiva each year. Wekiva Youth Camp is a residential nature camp with the purpose of instilling in our youth a love and respect for nature, as well as protection of the environment.
