If the May 27th City Council meeting didn’t set a record for length of time, it came close. The majority of the six-hour meeting focused on approval for additional height for the Chabad synagogue and the My Israel Museum at 770 E. Palmetto Park Rd.
It didn’t go unnoticed that the name BocaWatch was mentioned several times. We are proud to say that this has occurred at a number of meetings, which means BocaWatch is being followed and read by many in our community.
It should be noted that the speakers were misdirecting the reference given to BocaWatch. The actual reference of statements were made by readers of BocaWatch who chose to post comments related to articles that appeared on our Facebook page and our website.
Don’t be mislead by a handful of loud voices on social media who continue to repeat negativity on social media when the true effort and mission of BocaWatch is to keep the residents of Boca Raton informed and aware of current affairs and local government in our community. We provide the Hot Topics Blog and a number of resources on our website to help citizens stay abreast of what is happening in the city. We promote government transparency and accountability.
