Special Request from my friends at the AJC – Global Jewish Advocacy:
For many years now I have had participation with the American Jewish Congress and its global reach out efforts.
This week, a friend at the AJC contacted me to assist in getting the attached statement adopted by our Mayor and Council. I forwarded this request with a personal recommendation to all City Council members.
At the Council workshop on Monday, Mayor Haynie announced that she would be bringing this AJC request forward to the Council for discussion.
BocaWatch encourages the City Council to endorse this position and demonstrate our City’s support for these important efforts.

Good morning AJC Palm Beach Board:
Our attempts to secure the signatures of Mayors throughout the US has been tremendously successful. Nationwide, we now have 145 confirmed mayors and municipal leaders representing more than 51 million people. They have signed our statement condemning anti-Semitism–calling upon their European counterparts to do the same. (See attached statement) Locally, with the persistent efforts of our President, Gary Walk, we secured signatures from the Mayors of West Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Juno Beach and Palm Beach County. This is indeed very exciting. However, we would also like to secure participation from Boca Raton, Parkland, and Palm Beach Gardens. Please let me know if you are able to assist with any of these relationships/Mayors. Our deadline for the signatures is August 31.
